The California Legislature is back in session.  We are all in trouble.  The most important items they are working on?  Protecting LGBT Rights and affirming children’s rights to gender care.  Legislation has been introduced to allow minors up to 20 years to sue any therapist who did not affirm their transition.  Additional legislation has been introduced to make it illegal for hospitals to comply with Federal requests for records relating to sex changing surgeries of minors.  Both of these laws are probably unconstitutional.  We discuss all of this and more on this week’s Real Talk.  Real Talk is the Right Side of Real Estate.

As we celebrate this Easter weekend it seems that the world is in the final stages of the spiritual battle described in the Bible.  The left continues to protest any cause that Trump supports.  Often they don’t even know why they are protesting.  State Legislatures continue to write additional laws limiting our constitutional rights.  The United States appears to have allied with the King of the North against the King of the South as described by John in Revelations.   These are truly troubling times we live in.  As we celebrate the great gift we received from God in sacrificing his Son Jesus Christ for our sins, we should all spend time with family and reflect on the word of God.  I hope everyone has a blessed peaceful Easter.

California Democrat Congress members are visiting their districts claiming that the high cost of housing, gas and electricity in California are all caused by Trump and Republicans.  Meanwhile the California legislature is trying to devise ways and reasons to break Proposition 13.  In Nashville Tennessee where there are no protections for property owners one owner made the news because his property tax is going up from $160,000 to $600,000 forcing him to sell his business.  A San Francisco professor claims that Proposition 13 costs the state $43 billion a year in uncollected property taxes.  He further notes that the longer you own a home in California the more disparate the property tax becomes, unfairly helping older white people to keep their homes.  In most red states seniors get major property tax breaks.  In California they are trying to figure out how to tax seniors and force them to sell their homes.  We discuss all of this and more on this week’s Real Talk.  Real Talk is the Right Side of Real Estate.
